Stained Glass Two Day Course [2 days x 7 hour sessions] [Leaded method]
If you are a beginner in glasswork and want an in-depth look at the craft behind stained glass windows, then this is the course for you. This course is suitable for adult beginners.
What does the course cover?
This two day course provides a more detailed look at making a stained glass panel, working on a simple design within a template. You will choose your glass from a selection and the tutor will show you how to cut it to a pattern. You will then be taught how to cut and shape your lead came, solder it, cement it and polish it. You will complete a stained glass panel which can be hung or displayed in your home. The piece will be 28cm x 20cm.
These courses are suitable for adult beginners and offers you the chance to learn key skills to begin a new glass hobby. There is a maximum of between 6- 8 students on this course to ensure individual attention.
Accessibility: We will try to make our courses accessible to all however if you have any disabilities or physical limitations of any kind, we ask that you discuss it with us before booking.
Note: This course involves working with lead, for safety reasons we recommend that pregnant women do not attend.
What do I need to bring? Just yourself and your enthusiasm! We provide all materials, glass, lead, solder, and tools for your day. Please wear sturdy shoes (no open toes) and old clothes.
